Finding her way to Wilmington NC all the way from Paris France, Sophie Kay brought a taste of some international blues to the Women in Blues Festival! Known as the "Edith Piafe" of the blues! WiB#3 was held in two places: Fri. night took place at Greenfield Lake Amphitheater, corner of West Lake Shore Dr., & Honeysuckle St., and Sat. at one of the areas newest clubs, The Cellar, 35 N. Front St., next to the Cape Fear River in historic downtown Wilmington, North Carolina
with a free Open Jam Sunday at The Cellar.
JAM hosted by Michele and Midnight Blues who represented the Cape Fear Blues Society in the 2006 International Blues Challenge in Memphis! A few surprises and some special guest performers were there too!
